SMALLRIG RM 03 Macro LED Light

The SmallRig RM 03 Macro Photography LED Light 5480 is a compact LED light designed primarily for macro photography and working with small subjects, where precise control over the direction of light is essential. The model features five LEDs with a total maximum output of 3 W, offering red, green, and blue colors as well as cool and warm white light, allowing you to create both natural and more creative lighting effects. The built-in 2000 mAh rechargeable battery provides up to 140 minutes of runtime, and the IP54-rated design enhances resistance to dust and precipitation, making the lamp ideal for outdoor photography as well.

Precise adjustment of the light direction

The flash’s design incorporates a durable metal spring that allows you to quickly change the position of the light source and precisely direct it toward the subject. This feature is particularly useful when photographing details, plants, small objects, or other subjects from a close distance. The ability to freely adjust the angle of the light helps minimize unwanted shadows and better highlight the texture, shape, and details of the scene being photographed.

Controlling the Character and Shape of Light

The SmallRig RM 03 comes with accessories that let you tailor the character of the light to a specific shot, including a diffuser, four-panel barn doors, and a spotlight attachment. The diffuser provides softer and more even lighting, while the barn doors make it easier to direct the light to a specific part of the frame and reduce its spread to the sides. The kit also includes 10 film slides, which expand the creative possibilities of using the flash when photographing small scenes and compositions.

Flexible Mounting and Outdoor Use

The kit includes a sturdy clamp, a ground spike, and a cold shoe mount, allowing you to adjust the flash’s setup to suit the location and nature of your shoot. The flash can be attached to equipment, placed directly on the ground during outdoor shoots, or mounted on compatible photographic equipment. The aluminum alloy housing and IP54 protection rating enhance the unit’s resistance to dust, wind, and precipitation, providing greater freedom to work outside the studio.

Built-in Battery and Compact Design

The lamp features a built-in 3.7 V battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh and an energy rating of 7.4 Wh, providing up to 140 minutes of runtime. Power is supplied via a 5 V / 1 A input, and the kit includes a USB-C cable, making it easy to charge the light using commonly available power accessories. The SmallRig RM 03 weighs approximately 300 g and measures 530 mm in length with a diameter of 28 mm, making it a relatively lightweight and convenient solution for use at home, in the studio, or on location.
