The SmallRig “Black Mamba” 4161 cage is designed for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II and R6 Mark III cameras, providing body protection and extensive mounting options for additional accessories. The aluminum alloy construction weighs 158 g, maintains access to the camera’s buttons, and features a three-point locking system that prevents the body from rotating inside the cage. The built-in Arca-Swiss plate allows for quick mounting of the camera on compatible tripods and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro, and RS 5 gimbals, allowing for smoother changes to your setup while filming.

Stable Mounting and Camera Protection

The cage secures the camera using a 1/4"-20 bottom screw and two side locking adapters, creating a stable three-point connection. Internal protective elements limit direct contact between the metal structure and the camera body, helping to reduce the risk of scratches during installation and use. The rounded design characteristic of the Black Mamba series is tailored to the shape of the camera while still allowing easy access to its buttons and controls.

Numerous accessory mounting options

The cage surface features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, an ARRI 3/8"-16 positioning hole, and a cold shoe mount. These allow you to expand your setup with, among other things, an additional grip, a viewfinder, a microphone, or an LED light, enabling you to tailor the camera’s configuration to the type of footage you’re shooting. There are also mounting points for a wrist strap and shoulder strap, as well as a QD socket that allows you to use compatible quick-release systems.

Built-in Arca-Swiss plate

The bottom of the cage features an integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate. This allows you to switch seamlessly between handheld, gimbal, and tripod modes without having to mount an additional plate each time. This solution is particularly useful during shoots where the camera’s positioning and stabilization frequently change.

Lightweight Design and Easy Assembly

The SmallRig Black Mamba 4161 is made of aluminum alloy, so with dimensions of 153 × 73.9 × 114.5 mm, it weighs just 158 g. The cage expands the setup’s capabilities without significantly increasing its weight, which is important whether shooting handheld or on a gimbal.
