SMALLRIG TRIBEX SE Hydraulic Tripod
The SmallRig x Potato Jet TRIBEX SE is an aluminum film tripod equipped with X-Clutch hydraulic technology, which allows you to extend all legs simultaneously, adjust their angle, and lock the tripod in place in just 1 second. The model offers a working height range of 23 to 166 cm, a maximum head load capacity of 6 kg, and a tripod load capacity of up to 15 kg in a specific configuration. The kit also includes a compact oil-filled head with a damping system, and the entire tripod weighs approximately 3.7 kg and is 72 cm long when folded, making it fit into a standard 28" carry-on bag.
X-Clutch Technology – One-Touch Adjustment
The X-Clutch system allows you to operate all tripod legs using a single mechanism, making it much faster to set up your shooting position. A single squeeze of the clutch allows you to extend the legs, adjust their position, and automatically lock the tripod in place in just 1 second, without having to adjust each leg separately. The mechanism can be set to 0° and 90°, and the leg spread angles of 22°, 55°, and 81° make it easy to adapt the tripod to the terrain, shooting height, and working style.
Smooth operation with an oil-damped head
The included oil-filled head is equipped with a damping system that allows for smoother movements when panning and tilting the camera. The tilt range is from +90° to -65°, providing great freedom when composing shots from various perspectives. The fixed counterbalance system is designed for rigs weighing up to 4 kg with the center of gravity properly positioned, while the head’s maximum load capacity is 6 kg.
Quick Mounting and Convenient Gear Changes
The head uses a quick-release plate system that allows for efficient attachment and removal of a camera or camcorder. The design is compatible with 501PL and DJI RS Series plates, making it easier to switch between working on a tripod and using a gimbal. Additional 1/4"-20 threaded holes allow you to mount accessories such as a gimbal arm, monitor, or other film production equipment.
Aluminum Construction Ready for Transport
The legs and center column are made of aluminum alloy, which keeps the overall weight reasonable while ensuring adequate stability during recording. The tripod weighs approximately 3.7 kg and measures 72 cm when folded, making it easier to transport and capable of fitting into a standard 28" suitcase. The height range of 23 to 166 cm allows you to work from both low angles and at eye level for classic shots.
